Sat 12th - Private Party - Bob's House!!!!
Now, memories are hazy for this day, due to too much drinking - hmmm! Bob's palace is nothing short of remarkable. We set the band up in a marquee just in front of the swimming pool....was looking great. Unfortunatly the weather wasn't so impressive and rained a fair bit. Before the gig we had music playing on the PA system but as everyone was in the other marquee, the one with the band in wasn't in a very good location, so with the aid of about 10 very helpful people we moved the whole rig and the marquee!!! Now that's showing commitment or what!!!!!
The gig itself went down a storm, lots of people dancing, got harassed by some 'fans'...I'm sure that had something to do with the amount of drink consumed but what the hell, made us look good! hehe.
The sound from our new set up was amazing and gives us a good edge. We now have a pair of active PA speakers (600 watt rms) and a 18" bass bin. With the drum kit microphones working, and some amps through the PA system, we got the room shaking!
After the gig, more drinking to be had, lots of good feedback from people, we might have just increased our fanbase a touch! A great evening (from what I remember of it), and woke up the next day on bob's sofa - haven't a clue how I got there - great! Roll on the next gig!
